The Soka area on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has unfortunately seen several severeincidents recently, and hearing of another multiple-vehicle crash is devastating. According to current reports from earlier today, Saturday, April 4, 2026Initial reports from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) indicate that four people have died (one male and three females). One other person sustained serious injuries and has been rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. The pile-up reportedly involved seven vehicles, including two Nissan Micra taxis, two trucks, a tanker, and two Toyota Camry cars. The bodies of those who passed away have been deposited at the Ring Road Hospital (Adeoyo) morgue. If you have family or friends who frequent that route, especially those using commercial transportation like the Micra taxis, now is definitely the time to reach out and confirm their safety. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this incredibly difficult time. Please stay safe on the roads.
